CalWORKs

Description

The CalWORKs program is a collaboration between the Sacramento County Departments of Health and Human Services and Human Assistance.  Integrated alcohol and drug treatment and mental health services are provided to individuals who are struggling with alcohol or other drug abuse, mental health challenges, or domestic violence that are barriers to employment. A full continuum of alcohol or other drug services are available that include outreach, case management, outpatient counseling, day treatment, residential, detoxification, and transitional living.

To Qualify

Alcohol and Drug Services System of Care staff will help determine if an individual qualifies for services.

Cost

Cost is based on program specifications, MediCal coverage or other public insurance/resources, and the individual or family’s ability to pay.  Alcohol and Drug Services System of Care staff will assist in determining the individual or family’s share of cost as applicable.
